Hi! I’m Rachel!

I’m an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). That’s just a fancy way of saying I know a lot about boobs and breastfeeding 馃槈 At times, breastfeeding can be really challenging but my goal is to meet and support mommas where they are, providing help and encouragement along the way.

My passion is to help save lives, one at a time, through the miraculous gift of mother’s milk. For more information on how breastfeeding saves lives, go here.

What is an IBCLC?

An IBCLC is an international board-certified lactation consultant. You must have an extensive education in lactation concepts as well as anywhere from 300-1,000 hours of lactation-specific clinical practice. Then, a comprehensive lactation exam is taken. Every five years, you must renew your certification through continuing education or through taking the exam again. I am certified to help with issues such as:

  • 路 Low milk supply
  • 路 Troubleshooting your breast pump
  • 路 Tongue and lip tie
  • 路 Engorgement and plugged ducts
  • 路 Mastitis
  • 路 Latch and positioning difficulties
  • 路 Nipple and breast pain
  • 路 Supplementation (bottles or other)
  • 路 Breastfeeding after reduction
  • 路 Induced lactation
